Looking for God’s Goodness in contemplation and prayer.
The student within us is looking for time-management skills, while the teacher within us is offering a different way of appending reality.
In this meditation, center yourself and breathe slowly. With each breath, try to drift below whatever problems or circumstance you are preoccupied with. Inhale slowly and know that this moment you are entering doesn’t need to be managed or solved. With each breath, open yourself to the deeper part of your being that is simply content to have you simply keep it company. With each breath, try to see the world, your problems, your very life, with the eyes of your teacher soul. During your day, try to view problems and preoccupations from this deeper perspective. Notice any shift in the tensions you carry.
Mark Nepo, Book of Soul, p49.
When we see with the eyes of connection and love, we drop into a deeper reality. We see our problems more as undone rather than solved.
