Week 44. Living Justly. Making Wrongs Right.

Valuing others is justice. The virtue of faith grows our faithfulness.

When we see the weakest treated unjustly, the marginalized taken advantage of, the most vulnerable violated, it tears away at our belief in a god of justice.  But God knows and sees all.  My hope lies in knowing and believing that all wrongs will be righted.

Week 43. Faithfulness. It’s Simple.

Valuing others is justice. The virtue of faith grows our faithfulness.

The spirit of faithfulness is manifest when we give others their due, have an attitude of faith and always seek to know and live God’s will for our lives.  We are given the gift of faith; however, most of us have to work to find this gift.  When I put my agenda aside, seek God’s will, and surrender to the call, I live a good life the way it was designed.

Week 43. Faithfulness. Faith is Power.

Valuing others is justice. The virtue of faith grows our faithfulness.

We are told that if we had faith the size of a mustard seed, we could uproot a mulberry tree and plant it in the sea. The lesson in this parable is something simple:  faith is power. When our lives are aligned to God, we become conduits of enormous power, bringing justice into our world.

Week 43. Faithfulness. A Thousandfold.

Valuing others is justice. The virtue of faith grows our faithfulness.

Wisdom teaches me that God as a presence protects me and I am sustained in all things. This is the mystery of life when I know the presence of God, which is intimately hidden, carrying me through whatever I may face, every moment of my life up to, through death and beyond.

Week 42. Always Seeking. Looking for God’s Goodness and Weekly Reflection Summary.

Valuing others is justice. Seeking justice coupled with the virtue of faith grows our faithfulness.

To have a posture of Faith, we must always be seeking. We must constantly turn our minds and hearts towards God in prayer and gratitude. We must be concerned with what is in our heart. I must be concerned with form and substance.  Until my second half of life, it seems I was concerned more with form, how I dressed and looked, the house or neighborhood I lived in. But this lack of substance left me empty and searching for more. God was drawing me towards substance and towards goodness.
