Finding God's Goodness

Week Thirteen: A Life of Love. Finding Love.

Month Three: The Virtue of Prudence. Valuing God and finding love.

Have you found true love or are you still searching? I spent most of my life as the song says, “looking for love in all the wrong places.” Over time, I was unsatisfied and started questioning what love is and grace answered.

Love is a person. It is the person of the Holy Trinity:  God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit that lives in our hearts. I’m grateful for the love of God and the Holy Spirit whose pilot light never goes out. It keeps burning, softening my hardened heart and teaching me how to love. As I place my value in God and spiritually grow up, I find love all the time. Love is everywhere when I slow down and look with the eyes of my heart.

What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the size and sorrows of man. That is what love looks like.

Saint Augustine

Lord, thank You for showing me what love looks like and letting me find love.
