Lately I’ve been contemplating the mystery of the Holy Trinity and the flow of the eternal exchange of love. This powerful life force gathers us together as we surrender our hearts to its presence allowing us to be transformed.
With new energy around the election of a new church leader, I think many across the world and all religions are breathing in fresh air. We await the guidance and reassurance of how we are to live life in our current age.
Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember not only military heroes but all who have given their lives in service. Today we reflect on their sacrifice and the importance of faith and service in living a life that reflects Christ’s love.
Christ’s promise at the Last Supper—“Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father and I will make our dwelling with him”—is all that we need to be happy.
Today I’m sharing with you some wise words on the idea of praising God through your life. The following post is taken from a sermon by Saint Augustine, bishop titled : Let us sing to the Lord a song of love.
Do you spiritually strive to live as a witness to a hope that never disappoints and as missionary of a life that conquers death? A death of destructive thoughts and resentment? Do you want to cultivate a spirit of generosity and patience in difficulty and the ability to forgive those who offend you? These are big Holy goals and we need divine assistance and help from others to support our journey. St. Rita of Casia who we celebrate today in the church can assist.
A recent article on “social prescribing” caught my attention. Perhaps this is a societal andedote to loneliness promoting that we’re often at our best when we’re together. In my mind, this is an extension of Jesus’ teachings calling us to love one another.
Take a moment to check in with yourself on how deep your connections are to others in your community?
Most of us know the saying that “silence is golden” in the context of the proverb it is often wise to say nothing. Silence is often considered a gateway to spirituality, a practice that can foster inner peace, deeper connection, and heightened awareness of one’s inner self and the divine. It’s a practice that allows individuals to quiet the constant stream of thoughts and sounds that can distract from spiritual contemplation.
I ask you to take a moment and reflect – how much silence do you incorporate into your day?
Our beliefs help shape our reality. Our core beliefs shape everything – our joy (or lack thereof), our friendships (or loneliness), even our connection with God and ourselves.
