The encyclical “Dilexit Nos” highlights the “missionary dimension of our love for the Heart of Christ.” My consecration to His heart is a response to His desire to spread the Kingdom throughout the world. This means my belovedness isn’t just for me; it’s meant to be shared.
Through my witness, I can be a vessel of His love, helping to build a society of “justice, peace and fraternity.” As Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” This love, a gift from Christ’s own heart, is a flame meant to be passed on.
What is one way your daily life and actions can be a witness to the love of Christ?
Pray for the grace to be a missionary of Christ’s love in your own home, workplace, or community today.
