We’re constantly bombarded by voices—social media, culture, opinions, even our own thoughts. Yet one voice matters most: God’s. Hearing Him isn’t optional—it’s essential to live out His will.
In John 10:27, Jesus says, “My sheep hear my voice.” But that doesn’t happen by accident. Like Elijah on Mount Horeb, we must seek God’s whisper amid the storm (1 Kings 19:11–12).
Here are a few tips to hear God’s whisper:
- Daily Prayer: Be still. Let silence make room for Him.
- Scripture: His Word speaks timeless truth. Read it often.
- Sacraments: Eucharist and Confession clear the path to grace.
- Church Teaching: Ground yourself in tradition and truth.
- Spiritual Guidance: Find someone wise to help interpret His nudges.
Listening to God isn’t a one-time event—it’s a lifelong relationship. The more we seek, the more He speaks. If you would like to know more about Spiritual Direction, please reach out.
As St. Augustine said: “Our hearts are restless until they rest in You.”
