I’m still in awe of the life of Pope Francis and the many gifts he provided our church and the world. He led with grace working with urgency in this life while preparing for his life eternal. Do you spend time thinking about your death especially how your life glorifies Christ?
Pope Francis selected the following three scriptures for his funeral mass. May we let the Spirit transform our hearts and minds as we contemplate their message:
The good news is not just for Jesus’ original followers but for a wider world (Acts 10:34-43)
Our true citizenship is in heaven. Death transforms our lowly body into a heavenly one (Phillipians 3:20-4:1)
If we love Jesus, we will tend His sheep and we will feed His lambs (John 21:15-19)
