Finding God's Goodness

Week Thirty-Eight. Integrity. Hocus Pocus.

Valuing My Body. Temperance with love leads to chastity.

Recently I visited my daughter. It was a long overdue visit and good for the soul. The soap dispenser in her bathroom is a pumpkin with the words “Hocus Pocus” written in black lettering. As I washed my hands one time, I thought about the magic of integrity.

Integrity is the state of being whole and undivided. It is a state of loving myself, broken parts and all. Magic occurs when I embrace the wounds and modify the behaviors that keep me distracted from living my best life.

When I am in the magical place of integrity, I’m conscious of loving the whole of me which leads me to be a kind, compassionate person, while still accepting my limitations. As I value myself in this way, I’m able to do the same for others.

Healing begins when the woundedness is seen, held, and loved, bringing it from the darkness into the light. Hocus Pocus…the magic begins!

Thank you Lord for showing me the magic of living an integrated life with integrity.
