Sometimes grace finds us in the most unexpected places even in the ladies’ room of a busy restaurant.
I looked up and saw a sign filled with simple phrases, almost like a cascade of gentle invitations:
Live your dream.
Show compassion.
Create your own happiness.
Follow your heart.
Enjoy the little things.
Laugh out loud.
Be your best self.
Cherish every moment.
Dream big.
Embrace every possibility.
Discover your passion.
Believe in miracles.
Create peace.
Make a wish.
Be spontaneous.
Remember to breathe.
Fall in love.
Today is the day.
Something in me lifted. Not because the words were new, but because they were true and I needed them right then.
There’s a way God speaks through ordinary signs, through bathroom walls and grocery store aisles and overheard conversations. A way the Spirit nudges us back toward joy, toward hope, toward the life we keep meaning to live.
Maybe that’s the quiet miracle, that in the middle of an ordinary outing, God whispers, “Wake up. Pay attention. Your life is happening now.”
So today, this day, may we:
- Enjoy the little things that make our hearts soften.
- Create our own happiness instead of waiting for circumstances to shift.
- Show compassion in small, steady ways.
- Believe in miracles even if they arrive quietly.
- Remember to breathe when life feels too full.
Because today really is the day, the day to choose joy, to trust God’s nearness, to live with a little more courage and a little more wonder.
