Each new morning is a quiet resurrection, a gentle invitation to open our eyes and say, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad.” Even when the night has been long—filled with worry, sleeplessness, or sorrow—Scripture promises that joy comes with the dawn.
Malachi speaks of a sunrise that is more than light: “For you who fear my name, the Sun of Justice will rise with healing in its rays.” Christ Himself is that dawn, breaking through the long night of darkness (sin and death), restoring hope and healing to our weary hearts.
Psalm 30 gives us the language of a soul lifted and renewed: God hears our cries, raises us from the depths, turns mourning into dancing, and clothes us with joy.
In the light of the Resurrection, we begin to see our lives differently—every breath, every moment, every mercy held in God’s hands. So as the sun rises, let gratitude rise with it. Let our first words be thanksgiving, our first thought praise, trusting that the One who brings light out of darkness will guide the day ahead.
