Being Loved

Five Years of Goodness: A Celebration of Grace

Five years ago, I launched Smitten with Goodness on All Saints’ Day with trembling hands and a heart full of longing. What began as a personal journey—working out my salvation with fear and trembling and seeking a deeper understanding of my faith—has become something far greater than I ever imagined. A quiet offering has become a place of encounter.

With over 62,000 views and 38,000 souls touched, these reflections echo grace. Most of you arrived in the past two years, drawn by a hunger for truth, beauty, and the transforming touch of the Spirit. Even if one person has drawn closer to Christ through these words, it’s a win in my book. That’s the kind of math heaven rejoices in.

Why All Saints’ Day Matters

I chose All Saints’ Day intentionally. It’s a feast that reminds us of our destiny—not just to admire the saints, but to become one. The Church sets aside November 1st to honor all the holy men and women who have gone before us, known and unknown, canonized and hidden. It’s a day that whispers: You too are called to holiness. You too are meant to blaze with love.

Saints are not perfect people. They are people who let grace do its work. They are the ones who said yes—again and again—through suffering, joy, doubt, and surrender. They are the ones who let Christ shape their lives into living icons of mercy, courage, and hope.

A Platform for Transformation

Smitten With Goodness was never meant to be polished or performative. It was meant to be real. A place where scripture, tradition, and personal story could meet. A place where vulnerability could become a doorway to grace. A place where the Spirit could whisper, convict, console, and call.

I’ve written through seasons of clarity and seasons of ache. I’ve wrestled with vocation, caregiving, health, and hope. And through it all, I’ve tried to stay faithful—to the call, to the Word, to the One who never stops pursuing us.

Thank You

To every reader, every sharer, every quiet soul who has prayed with me through these posts: thank you. You are part of this story. You are part of this communion of saints-in-the-making. You remind me that holiness is not solitary—it’s communal, contagious, and always unfolding.

Here’s to the next chapter. May we keep saying yes. May we keep being smitten—with goodness, with grace, with the God who makes all things new.
