Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember not only military heroes but all who have given their lives in service. Today we reflect on their sacrifice and the importance of faith and service in living a life that reflects Christ’s love.
It’s a day to pray for the souls of the deceased, for their families, and for the renewal of our commitment to peace, justice, and the common good. There are ways to practice the spiritual side of the day:
- Reflect on the meaning of sacrifice, freedom, and the power of prayer.
- Attend Mass, pray for the deceased, and engage in acts of charity.
- Pray for the souls of the departed, remember them at Mass, and visit national cemeteries.
There is no greater love than one who lays down their life. Amen
