As we start each day getting ready to go out in the world, what interior attitudes do you take out of the drawer and put on? Do you put on the right shoes to walk the path of Christ to withstand the journey?
God gives us the things we need in order to live a meaningful and fulfilled life. But do you wear the clothes God chooses for us: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline? We are to be even-tempered, content with second place, and quick to forgive an offense. We are to forgive as quickly and completely as God has forgiven us. And regardless of what else we put on, we are always to wear love.
Love is our basic, all-purpose garment we are to never be without.
Thank you, Lord, for helping me wear the gifts you have given to me to share goodness throughout my day.
