Fear is the greatest weapon against us. It’s important for us to protect our beliefs, and stand up for what we believe in. But when we defend ourselves, and our way of living, we should do so not out of fear but out of conviction that they are good. This requires self-reflection and self-correction. If we fear losing the things we are attached to, what are we saying about their universal goodness?
If this endeavor or this activity is of human origin, it will destroy itself. But if it comes from God, you will not be able to destroy them; you may even find yourselves fighting against God.
Acts 5:38-39
Loving Lord, help us, not cling to our own ways, but to always trust in Your goodness. May You give us the strength to abide in Your word that it may achieve the end for what You came.
