Am I grateful for my present state in life?
We are our best selves when we are living with meaning and purpose. Everyone who breathes has a mission to accomplish. We are not sent into this world for nothing and not born at random.
God sees and has a plan for each one of us. Every soul has a purpose. He needs every one of us and we are all equal in His sight. We are placed in our different ranks and stations, not to get what we can out of them for ourselves, but to labor in them for Him.
Whether I’m a newlywed trying to navigate willing the good of the other.
Or a mother, buried in diapers and bottles.
Or a grandparent trying to be relevant in my busy family’s lives.
Or a friend who strives for deep and holy friendship.
My work is to do what I do well. I can live in my current state of life fully with love and compassion. As Christ had His work, we too have ours; as He rejoiced to do His work, we must rejoice in ours also.
Did I offer thanks to God for my present state in life?
Thank you, Lord, for allowing me to serve You by living my current state of life well. Authentically Yours.
