If faith is belief beyond what is seen, how effective am I looking past the surface and seeing what is in the heart? Am I always seeking to see Your face?
When a colleague is hurting, do I take the time to be present and listen? When a child is distant and not communicative, do I try and force my way into dialogue or do I stand by engaging with gentleness and love? When my path crosses a store clerk “with an attitude“, do I take the interaction as a personal offense or do I look past the surface and see a hurting soul and respond with compassion?
As my faith in God grows, so does my faith in humanity. This divine presence draws me to be just in what I do.
Lord, I’m grateful for Your gift of faith.
