Finding God's Goodness

Week 42. Always Seeking. Faith and Reason.

Valuing others is justice. Seeking justice coupled with the virtue of faith grows our faithfulness.

We are promised a new way of thinking. A mind set that is different. Am I in a posture of seeking and listening with the ear of my heart? Faith and reason lead us towards truth and making just decisions.

As I am cleansed from my old ways of thinking and believing, the Spirit fills me with a new perspective. I see our connectedness and commonalities, looking past our differences seeing how alike we all are. We all need to be seen, heard, and loved.  This knowledge helps me understand my own belovedness. This knowing shapes the peace in my heart, allowing me to act justly and give others what they are due.

Faith and reason are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth; and God has placed in the human heart a desire to know the truth in a word, to know himself so that, by knowing and loving God, men and women may also come to the fullness of truth about themselves.

Pope St. John Paul II

Lord, thank you for faith and reason to know what is right and just.
