We are promised that we will never be alone. As I live my faith, I know this is true. I may physically be alone but I always have the gift of presence.
There is not a moment in which God does not present Himself under the cover of some pain to be endured, of some consolation to be enjoyed, or of some duty to be performed. All that takes place within me, around me, or through me, contains and conceals His divine action. I’m often not aware of this until after the fact.
However, there are moments when I am attentive and still, and the Divine is revealed. I stand in awe and rejoice. If I could only lift the veil, be attentive, and always watchful, God would continually reveal Himself to me. I would see His divine action in everything that happens to me. How easily distracted I am. but I know the presence within is always there
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
