Day 40 – The Paschal Triduum: Holy Saturday — The Silence Between

Holy Saturday is a day of silence and waiting, culminating in the Easter Vigil at night. It is the quiet, aching space between loss and resurrection. It is the day when nothing seems to be happening, yet everything is being transformed beneath the surface.

Many people know this kind of waiting—the in‑between seasons where hope feels fragile and answers are not yet clear. Holy Saturday invites us to rest in the mystery, to trust that God is at work in the silence, preparing something new.

Scripture: “They laid him in a tomb… and rested on the Sabbath.” (Luke 23:53–56)

Question: Where in your life are you being invited to wait with trust, even without clarity?
