Prayer is mysterious. It doesn’t always come with fireworks or clear answers. Often, it feels intangible, like silence or stillness. But without it, something vital begins to fade. We lose contact with Jesus, not just His teachings, but His presence. The One who sees us, loves us, and longs to guide us through every joy and sorrow.
When we stop praying daily, our spiritual life slowly drains, like a phone left off the charger. We miss the peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7), the joy that remains even in suffering (John 15:11), and the quiet confidence that comes from walking with the Spirit (Galatians 5:25).
Daily prayer is how we remain in Him, as He remains in us (John 15:4). It’s not about perfection—it’s about presence. Even five minutes of honest prayer can reawaken the soul. Even one whispered “Jesus, I’m here” can shift the atmosphere of your heart.
If prayer feels dry, begin again. Open the Psalms or sit with the Gospels. Let scripture speak first: “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening” (1 Samuel 3:9). God isn’t keeping score, He’s keeping vigil. Waiting for you. Longing for you.

Excellent excellent post Cynthia! We always need to put HIM first! “But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all Your works.” Psalms 73:28 NKJV
