Peace Beyond Understanding

Intercessory Prayer for Peace

Lord Almighty, I intercede for those who are living in fear, anxiety, or turmoil. I pray that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Lord, be their refuge and strength, their help and hope. May they cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them. May they experience Your presence and Your power in the midst of their troubles. May they be still and know that You are God. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

This prayer is based on Philippians 4:6-7, which instructs us not to be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let our requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
