Love Is In The Air

Reflections for contemplative living

Today is my 15th Wedding Anniversary to a man who fulfills all the promises of what I hoped marriage would be.  I’m blessed beyond measure to be in an intimate communion of life and love with this kind, generous, supportive man that I respect and love dearly.

Love is willing the good of the other. And marriage is a relationship where we live this out daily.  We are to help each other grow into the fullness of who Christ wants us to be, bringing a bit of heaven onto the earth.

Fifteen years ago, Jim and I promised to “love and cherish” each other.  Through good times and bad, sickness and in health, our faith and love has grown stronger.  It is a relationship built on mutual trust and respect which leads us into living in emotionally, spiritually, and physically unity.

God promises that one of the greatest joys of marriage is the feeling of complete intimacy. A place where we are known, seen and loved despite our flaws.  It is a safe harbor from the battles we face in the world.

Thank you Jim for “saying yes” to love and to hold and cherish me. Your love and support, allows me to breathe love into the air. I’ve become a better person by loving you.

Happy Anniversary!
