Who Am I?

Reflections for contemplative living

God is always drawing us towards Him. We see this in how Jesus clears the temple.  Righting the wrongs of corruption, He wreaks havoc, turning the temple upside down to right the ship, so to speak.

Are there places in my life where I sell and barter versus praise, worship, and love? My false self sees itself as separate, but I’m not. I am the temple of the Spirit.  With trust, faith, and authenticity, I come to understand. Who am I if I’m not yours?

My temple will be a house of prayer, but you have turned it into a den of thieves. MT 21:13

Lord, help me give You what You want for me rather than what I want to give You. Be with me and my laziness and help me grow and authenticity.
