We are called to walk the path of Jesus. There is no gray in what we are to do. It’s clear that we are instructed by Jesus to “follow him.” When we do, we are shown the path of life which leads us to peace and joy. Through our faith, we begin to understand what it means to love, beauty and goodness in its full state.
One way to grow spiritually is to get to know Jesus. As we meditate on his life, we see how Jesus goes to the temple and upsets things stating how things have been defiled and his Father’s house. By knowing myself, I find Jesus within the temple in me. I see how the necessary coping skills that my ego developed to survive and thrive in the world don’t serve me as I seek things of greater value. I tend to seek approval and acceptance through achievement rather than resting in my true identity and belovedness. This distraction keeps me from living in authenticity which is living in my full glory, from allowing the divine in me to see the divine in others.
God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
1 Cor 3:17
Thank you, Lord, for showing me the path to walk towards Your love.
