Finding God's Goodness

Week 48. Gentleness. Paradise.

Valuing others is justice. The virtue of faith grows our faithfulness.

When I try to picture what heaven might be like, it looks a little like paradise in my mind’s eye. A place that is comforting and safe where I can be free.

As I take the time to be curious, I’m drawn outside myself and open the space for a different perspective. This usually leads me towards gratitude which helps soften my heart. A loving gesture from my husband, a thoughtful call or text from a child, family member or friend. A person who goes out of their way to help me. These are the things that help soften my heart and bring gentleness to my day.

Our greatest strength lies in the gentleness and tenderness of our heart. When the heart loves someone, the eyes see it as Paradise.

Rumi

Lord, thank you for Your Spirit of gentleness that brings paradise into our life.
