We were born with a purpose, to live the truth. It’s easy to get off center from this by the tugs and demands of the world. But divine wisdom teaches us simplicity: we are called to love God and love our neighbor.
Loving our neighbor means willing the good of the other person. Not how I love with my limitations but with the divine love in me who sees us all as beloved. This kind of love brings justice and hope to the world.
Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.
John 18:37
Lord, let Your words of truth penetrate my being, drawing me towards my purpose.
