Finding God's Goodness

Week Five: The Path. Survive or Thrive

Are you living a life of scarcity or abundance?  Too often we settle for small, safe places rather than step out into the potential of the greatness we were called to be. We play it safe, clinging to our job, our bank account or our status as mom or wife to define our identity.  This is surviving.

God calls us to an abundant life, to live in His presence, but we must receive it. Too often we let doubt and unbelief rule our thoughts and hearts, keeping us surviving, not thriving. When we trust in God, rivers of living water will flow out of us, bringing life.

The words we speak come out of our heart. And when we agree with God, the words we speak bring vibrant life to ourselves and others. God’s words of compassion, mercy, and love become my own. They are life to my body, soul, and spirit.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.  Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring nourishment to your bones.

Proverbs 3:5-8

Lord, help me trust and glorify You Lord the true path to a life of abundance.
