The secret to peace of heart and our world.
Arm yourself with prayer rather than a sword; wear humility rather than fine clothes.
St. Dominic
Humility is needed to protect the value of our good works. St. Augustine says, “All our works must be guarded and accompanied by humility in the beginning, the middle and the end; for if we are ever so little careless and allow vain complacency to come in, all will be carried away by the wind of pride.”
Today I will turn to prayer and clothe myself in humility to protect my good works and tame the tendencies of my ego.
