When we turn to our Creator, we are shown merciful love. Love fills our heart leaving little room for fear. Gone are the thoughts that I am separated from the Spirit that lives in me.

Week 44. Living Justly. Making Wrongs Right.

Valuing others is justice. The virtue of faith grows our faithfulness.

When we see the weakest treated unjustly, the marginalized taken advantage of, the most vulnerable violated, it tears away at our belief in a god of justice.  But God knows and sees all.  My hope lies in knowing and believing that all wrongs will be righted.

When faithfulness is our standard, we are more likely to sustain our engagement with tasks that will never end:  doing justice, loving mercy, and calling the beloved community into being. We must make “Love one another as I have loved you” (John 13:34) the foundation of national respect, the standard of our national discernment, the bedrock of both our personal relationships and a civilized society. Week 43. Faithfulness. It’s Simple. 

Valuing others is justice. The virtue of faith grows our faithfulness.

The spirit of faithfulness is manifest when we give others their due, have an attitude of faith and always seek to know and live God’s will for our lives.  We are given the gift of faith; however, most of us have to work to find this gift.  When I put my agenda aside, seek God’s will, and surrender to the call, I live a good life the way it was designed.

Valuing others is justice. The virtue of faith grows our faithfulness.

We are told that if we had faith the size of a mustard seed, we could uproot a mulberry tree and plant it in the sea. The lesson in this parable is something simple:  faith is power. When our lives are aligned to God, we become conduits of enormous power, bringing justice into our world.

In a world that creates confusion, where the choices and amount of information can be overwhelming…whose voice do you listen for? Whose voice do you hear? The voice of truth always draws us towards justice and belief in God’s universal goodness.
