Returning to Belovedness
There are many voices in our lives—some encouraging, some harsh, some that echo old wounds.
Therapists and spiritual leaders alike are naming the power of compassionate self-talk, but beneath that is an even deeper invitation: to listen for the voice of God.
God’s voice is never shaming or impatient; it is steady, gentle, and full of love. Lent becomes a time to notice which voices shape us and to lean toward the One who calls us beloved.
“You are my beloved…” (Mark 1:11).
Question: Which inner voice is God inviting you to release?
