Day 1 — The First Turning

Awakening to Goodness

Lent begins with a simple movement of the heart—a quiet turning toward God who is already turned toward us. Ignatian spirituality reminds us that grace is always at work in the ordinary, inviting us into deeper relationship.

As communities around us step into new acts of service and renewal, we’re reminded that God is present in every generous impulse. This season asks us to pause long enough to notice where God is drawing us, even subtly, and to trust that the smallest yes can open space for encounter.

“See, I am doing a new thing…” (Isaiah 43:19).

Question to ponder: Where do you sense God gently drawing you towards newness?
