This morning, in the quiet of prayer, I felt God touch my heart with a love so deep it seemed to breathe life into me. My heart softened and tears ran down my face. The love of God became embodied in me.
As I sat with His Word, I was drawn to Jesus’ prayer in John 17:
“I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, that the world may believe that you sent me… that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me.”
In these words, I hear Jesus praying for me—for us—for all who would come to believe. His desire is not only that we know Him, but that we live in unity, sharing in the very communion of love between Father and Son. To realize that God loves us with the same love He has for Jesus is almost too much to take in. It is a truth that humbles, heals, and transforms.
And then I remembered His commandment in John 13:34:
“Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.”
This is the invitation: to let His love flow through us, to become living witnesses of the unity He prayed for. In the Eucharist, in prayer, in daily encounters, we are drawn into this mystery—God in us, we in Him, so that the world may believe.
Today, I carry this prayer in my heart: that I may love as He loves, and that my life may reveal His presence to others.
