Today we celebrate the Holy Family—Jesus, Mary, and Joseph—and remember that God chose to enter the world not through power, but through a home. Their life in Nazareth shows us that family, in all its beauty and struggle, is a sacred place where love grows and holiness takes root.
The Church calls the family “the original cell of social life,” the place where we learn to love, to trust, to pray, and to use our freedom well. And Pope Francis reminds us that the Holy Family was holy for one simple reason: their lives were centered on Jesus.
This feast invites us to believe that Christ still desires to dwell in our homes today—blessing spouses, strengthening parents, and sheltering children. No family is perfect, but every family can become a place where grace quietly transforms the ordinary.
Where Jesus is welcomed, love can flourish.
Where Jesus is in the center, holiness becomes possible. We continue the tradition today.
