Brothers, I beg you through the mercy of God to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God, your spiritual worship. Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, so that you may judge what is God’s will, what is good, pleasing and perfect.
Romans 12:1-2
This passage has always stirred something deep within me. The words are a radical call to a different way of living. What hits me hardest is the idea of being a living sacrifice. Not a one-time decision, but a daily surrender. In a world that shouts for attention, status, and comfort, choosing humility, service, and spiritual renewal feels countercultural.
When I take time to renew my mind—through Scripture, prayer, reflection—I start to see things differently. My priorities shift, my reactions soften, and my purpose feels clearer. It’s not about perfection, but about alignment with God’s heart.
Each day is a new chance to refuse the mold the world offers and choose transformation instead.
What’s one pattern you’ve been challenged to break lately?
