Being Loved

Choosing to Return

When I contemplate Jesus’ words in Luke 21:34–36, I feel like He’s speaking directly to me: “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down…” And honestly, mine has been. Not with wild living or drunkenness, but with the quiet heaviness of anxiety, distraction, and trying to keep up with life.

It’s easy to drift, numb out, and let the days blur together while my heart grows distant from God. But today feels different. Today, I hear Christ’s whisper calling—not with judgment, but with love. A gentle nudge for me to wake up, to return, to be present.

So I’m choosing to listen and return. To lay down the things that clutter my soul. To turn my heart back toward God—not halfway, but fully. I don’t want to be caught off guard, I want to be ready, awake, alive.

If this is your day too, let’s walk it together. Let’s be vigilant—not out of fear, but because we long to be near Him. Let’s return with all our hearts.
