Being Loved

The Pearl Beneath the Surface

In an Instagram and Tik-Tok world, we can be led astray by the many marketing offers that lead us to perfection. But what if I told you that perfection is not something you find externally, but it’s the pearl just waiting to be found within you.

Wholeness isn’t about perfection—it’s about embracing all of who we are. That means our light, our shadow, our brokenness, and our beauty. It’s a radical invitation to hold space for every piece of ourselves, even the ones we’d rather hide.

Spiritual teacher Richard Rohr reminds us that divine perfection isn’t about flawlessness—it’s about inclusion. It’s the sacred ability to recognize, forgive, and welcome imperfection, just as God does with each of us. This perspective opens the door to a deeper reality, one not bound by black-and-white thinking but alive with nonduality.

Through this lens, forgiveness becomes second nature. Mercy flows more freely. Love takes on new depth. And the hidden wholeness beneath our human façade begins to shine.

This is the “pearl of great price” a treasure worth seeking beyond appearances and expectations.
