Each year, the Holy Father asks for our prayers for a specific intention each month. You are invited to answer the Holy Father’s request and to join with many people worldwide in praying for this intention each month.
This month we pray that the world might grow in compassion.
Let us pray that each one of us might find consolation in a personal relationship with Jesus, and from his Heart, learn to have compassion on the world.
The Pope asks that individuals cultivate a close relationship with Jesus, allowing their hearts to be conformed to His, especially in the face of suffering and poverty. This intention emphasizes finding consolation and compassion within Jesus’s heart and extending that compassion to the world.
Where in your life do you need Christ’s mercy and compassion? Can you invite Christ’s love into that space for healing and mercy? Can you leave open a tiny crack for compassion to flow to others who might find themselves in a similar position?
May the world grow in compassion. Amen
