Are you a friend of Christ or a slave to the world? As the Spirit opens my eyes, I see there is no middle ground. This is the narrow path that we hear about that few are able to walk.
When contemplating John 15:15, I was fascinated with the idea that through my friendship with Christ, there is nothing hidden from me knowing God. Through Christ, all is known. The Spirit reveals what he wishes.
I no longer call you slaves,/ because a slave does not know what his master is doing./ But I have called you friends,/ because I have told you/ everything I have heard from my Father.
I’m keenly aware that I can never know everything through my intellect but by I know through my spirit, by the Spirit. I know God the Father through the Spirit of Christ.
Acts 11:24
Blessed is this holy man,/ who was worthy to be numbered among the Apostles,/ for he was a good man,/filled with the Holy Spirit and with faith.
