I try and write about things I notice or what spark my curiosity to ponder in hopes to provide a platform for your own contemplation. The following caught my attention this morning:
“Where there is no love, put love and you will find love.”— St. John of the Cross
This idea gives me much hope. In a world, especially in the United States, where egos are running amok sowing division and chaos, I hang onto the idea of a higher power at work drawing us together. Where headlines can be overthrown by the love we put into our families and communities. But it starts with the love we allow to touch our hearts.
We are called to not let our hearts be troubled and “be not afraid”. In a fear based economy it’s a spiritual battle to live magnanimously.
How do you foster awe and wonder in your life?
This lens allows us to see that seeds of goodness are sown everywhere. We just have to have courage to find them and have a spirit of generosity to cultivate them. But the payoff is worth it. Courage and generosity allow us to infuse the essence of love where the is none.
May you be smitten with God’s goodness 🙏🏻
