Teach Us To Pray

Invasion of Grace

Season of thanksgiving in prayer

How thankful are you for the divine presence in your life?

In Luke 5:1-11, we witness Jesus stepping into the fisherman’s boat uninvited, directly entering Simon’s life. Without hesitation, He begins giving instructions, first asking Simon to move away from the shore and then to venture into deeper waters. This act symbolizes the invasion of grace. The most crucial decision you will ever make is whether to cooperate with Jesus once He steps into your boat.

In many ways, everything else in your life is secondary, mere commentary. When the Lord Jesus Christ enters your boat, He will always guide you to the depths. As St. John Paul II often quoted, “Duc in altum” (“Put out into the deep”). Is it more dangerous? Yes. More exciting? Absolutely.

Thank you Lord for calling us into the deep.  To dive into spiritual maturity and transformation.  Counter to what the world deems important or thrilling, the thrill of walking with You in the invasion of grace is a true adventure. Amen
