We can only see the world through the lens of what we know at the time. To one person, a sign points one way and a vastly different direction to another. How might we modern believers become signs pointing to Christ amidst so many competing worldviews? It’s complicated, but part of the answer is joining creation as a witness to the good news.
As we turn from our idols, whatever they may be and serve God, we experience God’s goodness, and remember His love for us. We are promised that the Holy Spirit will teach us everything and remind us of what Jesus told us. This allows us to become witnesses of hope in our beautiful, broken world.
God of heaven and earth, guide us in your path of goodness. May our teaching, preaching and peacemaking, inspire hearts and minds to follow your ways. May we bring hope to the world through You. Amen
