We are living in curious times where everyone seems to have their own truth based on their lens of life and personal perspective. Layered on the powerful tool of AI, which generates information based on the information it receives, critical thinking is becoming more important to discern what is truth.
Much of my life I felt shaky and uncertain about what was true. The world is full of voices, and as time passed I began to ignore the voice within. I was swayed by persuasive ideals that sounded good but actually drew me further away from the truth. The more I questioned it, doubted it, and ignored it, the fainter the voice grew-until one day it became so faint that I had to strain to hear it at all. But after rediscovering the still voice within, I’m standing on firm ground. I’m fueled by the Spirit of truth who guides me and is always waiting to help me discern the right path to take.
If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you always, the Spirit of truth, which the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows it. But you know it, because it remains with you, and will be in you.”
John 14:15-17
Lord, thank you for the realization when I stray from Your voice and blessed am I when I spend time reclaiming that gentle voice within.
