God always gives us what we need and sometimes that is a good laugh.
Many mornings during my prayer time, I’m called to reach out to a friend or family member with a prayer or words of encouragement. Recently, I sent a snapshot of a beautiful prayer to a friend who was sick.

It was a prayer in time of personal illness by St. Padre Pio. Along with the prayer, I dictated some words of encouragement and hit send, not reviewing the text I had dictated.
You can see from the exchange, Siri had other plans for my “serious” encouragement for my friend. Instead we had a really good laugh! There is richness in a good belly laugh. Sometimes laughter is the best medicine.
Thank you, Lord, for shining a light into the darkness of my seriousness and leading me towards playfulness and laughter.
