The Grace of God

Reflections for contemplative living

A lot of the spiritual journey is learning to get sober, to wake up to our true nature and get over our soul-sickness.  We can’t do this on our own, despite how hard we try. The only way to do this is to call on the grace of God and invite Him in to accompany us on our journey.

As we wake up to this grace, we can share our stories with others. They then might hear how we have come to depend on God, a Power greater than ourselves. This may open their ears to hear the message, it might make sense and they might make up their mind to try it.

Do you gladly share your love, your joy, your happiness, your time, your food, your money with others? Do you give out all the love you can with a glad, free heart and hand doing all you can for others?  Bringing countless stores of blessings and drawing others to you? Do you take all who come into your life as sent by God and give them a royal welcome. We may never see the results from sharing our story but it may pierce someone’s heart and be there when they need it.

Thank you, Lord, for Your grace helping me welcome others to the light of Your face.
