As a spiritual being living a human existence, we must always seek to live a spiritual life. This is a life of awareness, growth, and maturity. But it’s a fine line as our progress is only a result of God’s grace. Our role is to walk the narrow path of humility, aligning my will with God’s and giving my all.
It is said that the strength of the soul consists in its faculties, passions, and desires, all of which are governed by the will. When these faculties, passions and desires are directed by the will toward God, and turned away from all that is not God, then the strength of the soul is kept for God, and the soul is able to love God with all its strength. A right-ordered will sets us up to live a well-ordered life.
