The struggle is real between living in the world and not of the world. But with God as our center, the cornerstone of our heart, we are certainly on the right path. We are not left alone to fend for ourselves, we are given the power of the Spirit. A Spirit that draws us towards goodness, truth, and beauty. We are given gifts that sustain us for the journey.
Each time we participate in the Eucharist, we draw power from the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus, the saving event that defined our enemies. Jesus himself comes to aid us in our daily battle with problems that come from self-indulgence, sin, the world, and evil.
