Seeking Wisdom

Reflections for contemplative living

The practice of Lectio Divina allows us to discover what God’s passages in the Bible mean for each of us personally. I’m slowly working my way through the Gospel of Matthew, which is rich with wisdom. When I “Ask” (my word of the year), I usually find an answer during my time in the Word or holy reading.

Asking helps to clarify what I’m feeling or what is on my heart. Of course, God already knows; I’m being taught the skill of noticing and awareness. As this practice roots in me, I can bring this to others in my life.

What will you notice today that needs attention and ask for divine assistance?

Thank you, God, for bringing healing and wisdom to us and through us.
