Finding God's Goodness

Week 49. Action of Love. Lacking Nothing.

Valuing others is justice. The virtue of love grows our generosity.

What if we approached our difficulties with a different attitude. One of opportunity rather than despair. Rather than asking why me, we ask why not me? What would it look like to embrace the trials of life with receptivity, believing they are there to help us mature and purify our heart?

Growing up is hard for most of us. It’s easier to keep doing what we’ve always done. Cementing the same attitudes and beliefs we’ve been exposed to. But God gives us a new mindset, a new way of thinking. We know that love is the divine motivation and everything we go through can draw us closer to love if we shed our immature beliefs. But we must trust. Yes, we must trust the process and know it is for good. When I do so, I am just with myself.

When I keep my focus on God, I find joy despite my circumstances. Love and light fill me up with gratitude. I lean into the promise of a new mindset, maturing spiritually and becoming more perfect in Christ.

My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up in you the power of endurance. And then as your endurance grows even stronger, it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking.

James 1:2-4

Thank you, Lord, for designing me where nothing is lacking.
