Finding God's Goodness

Week 46. Language of Life. Valued.

Valuing others is justice. The virtue of faith grows our faithfulness.

When our needs are seen and appreciated, we feel valued. As strategies are discussed and action is taken, we move toward positive outcomes when conflicts arise. On the deepest level when we are heard we feel the gift of compassion.

It’s easy to have emotionally charged thoughts when we think people are evil. Our violence towards others in thoughts, words, and actions become justified in our minds. We are educated in our culture with moralistic judgment of right and wrong, good and bad.

What if there is another way, a nonviolent path and way to communicate which gets to the heart of the matter.  Where individuals can be heard from a heart level where needs are heard rather than the surface level where thoughts and triggering emotions get in the way to a heart connection.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.

Martin Luther King Jr

Lord, thank you for valuing all of creation and showering justice on us all
