Living the spiritual life is to allow space -space for what the Spirit brings to the moment. As I’m growing in wholeness, I allow room for the space for presence and listening. I don’t feel the need to fix or change the person in front of me, or offer unwelcome suggestions. I can just be alongside those in my path in love and kindness.
As I’m oriented in this direction, I often have a profound impact on who I walk alongside. Offering words of perspective and hope, or a reminder that tomorrow is another new day. These kind words are the Spirit’s gentle movement working through my heart when I’m oriented in love. I speak the love that lives in my heart.
Glance at the sun. See the moon and the stars. Gaze at the beauty of earth’s greenings. Now, think. What delight God gives to humankind with all these things. . . ..All nature is at the disposal of humankind. We are to work with it. For without we cannot survive.
St. Hildegard of Bingen
Thank You Lord for speaking kind words of life into my being.
